It seems like the new Zune has recovered all those booting problems and frozen start-up screens caused by software problems of first-generation 30GB models.
According to the computing experts, the internal clock will automatically reset. All you have to do is allow the battery to 'fully run out of power' to restart successfully, then recharge, then turn back on. In new models, they corrected those problems.
